Wood County , WI : Fuel tanker crash in Wood County on early Tuesday morning ,June 16th 2015

No one was hurt after a fuel tanker crashed in Wood County early Tuesday morning, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Department.

The crash happened around 3:50 a.m. in the town of Wood. That's outside Wisconsin Rapids.

Officials say the tanker turned over on its side and went into a ditch on County Highway A. Wood County Emergency Management Director Steve Kreuser tells Newsline 9 no fuel has spilled. Officials say they are working to remove the 8,800 gallons of fuel from the truck.

Kreuser says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Crews remain on scene as of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

County Highway A has been closed near Sunset Road. Five fire department responded to the crash, as well as the Wood County Sheriff's Department, Wood County Highway Department and the Department of Natural Resour
