NEW HAVEN, CT : Pedestrian dies in early morning hit and run on Sunday, 28th January 2024

A pedestrian has died in New Haven after an early morning hit-and-run.

New Haven police responded to the intersection of Ella T. Grasso Boulevard and Washington Avenue at 1:28 a.m. for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Police were informed before they arrived that the vehicle involved fled the scene.

Police say the pedestrian was walking on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard and Washington Avenue at its intersecting point when he was struck by a dark colored vehicle.
