Johnstown, PA : A Bolivar man was killed in a crash on Saturday, August 12, 2017
A Bolivar man was killed in a crash on Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township.
Aaron J. Stiffey, Jr., 45, was heading south when he crossed the center line twice and ended up running off the road on the southbound berm and striking a utility pole around 2:55 a.m. Saturday, Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. said.
The impact caused Stiffey’s Dodge truck to partially roll, ejecting him before the truck came to rest on its wheels, Overman said.
Blunt force head and neck trauma caused Stiffey’s death, he said.
Alcohol and speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.
State police in Indiana are investigating the accident, Overman said.
Shoemaker Funeral Home in Blairsville is handling funeral arrangements.
