KILLINGLY, CT : Rhode Island woman dead in Killingly car-tree crash on Friday, November, 24th 2017
A Rhode Island woman was pronounced dead after state police say her car struck a tree early Friday morning in Killingly.
At 1:40 a.m., police say Hope Butler, 26, of 72 Reed Street, was driving a Dodge on Providence Pike and its intersection with Dark Lantern Road, when her vehicle traveled left off the road, striking a tree.
Police say she was transported to Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam and was later pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
