MEMPHIS, TN : 63-year-old hit by car several times, killed on Wednesday, November 16th 2016

Memphis police officers are investigating after a man was found dead in southwest Memphis.

Memphis Police Department said the 63-year-old man was found lying in the grass near the intersection of Elder Road and Daggett Road at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday.

Police announced they were investigating the death as a homicide just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said a person driving a silver vehicle hit the victim several times before leaving the scene.

Police are currently searching for the suspect.
