Leavenworth County, KS : Man flown to hospital after motorcycle crash at 243rd Street and Fairmount Road on Saturday, June 11, 2016

A Leavenworth man was airlifted to the hospital after he was thrown from a motorcycle Saturday, according to a report from the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was reported at 6:51 p.m. at 243rd Street and Fairmount Road.

Thomas A. Busse, 44, had been traveling east on Fairmount Road on a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle went off the road, and he was ejected from the vehicle, according to the report.

Busse reportedly was unresponsive at the scene and appeared to have difficulty breathing. He was flown by Life Star helicopter to the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas, for treatment.
