The driver of a pickup truck died when the vehicle struck a cow in Lancaster County Tuesday evening.
The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. on SC Highway 522, which is Rocky River Road, just north of Heath Springs.
Officials said that the 2006 Ford Ranger Pickup truck struck the cow in the roadway before hitting a fence.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not been released.
It is not clear how the collision happened or whether anyone else was injured.
