Greenfield, OK : One injured in a crash on U.S. 270 in Blaine County on Wednesday evening, August 31, 2016
An Oklahoma City man was injured Wednesday evening in a crash on U.S. 270 in Blaine County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting.
Daviyon Quintez Wright, 20, of Oklahoma City, was taken from the scene of the 5 p.m. crash to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, according to an OHP report. Wright was admitted with internal injuries and is listed in stable condition.
Wright was southbound on U.S. 270 in a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo when he fell asleep, left the road to the left, overcorrected and crossed the road again, according to the report. The Chevrolet left the road to the right, hitting an embankment and rolling one and half times, coming to rest on its top. Wright was partially ejected during the roll.
His passenger, 22-year-old Aaron Stevens, also of Oklahoma City, was not injured.
The report lists Wright's condition as "sleepy" and the cause of the crash as "apparently sleepy."
Seat belts were equipped in the vehicle but were not in use, according to the OHP.
