A woman died and her passenger was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in southeast Nampa.
As of 5:30 Sunday, clean up is still underway, according to Idaho State Police.
Charlotte Dawson, 72, of Ridgecrest, California, was stopped westbound on Locust Lane at the stop sign. As she proceeded through the intersection, Dawson failed to yield to cross traffic and was struck by a 2005 Dodge
1500 pickup truck driven by Camber Palmer, 18, of Kuna.
Dawson died at the scene. Dawson’s passenger was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by ground Ambulance. Palmer was not transported to a hospital. All occupants were wearing seat belts.
Idaho State Police are investigating the crash, which happened around 8:15 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of Robinson Boulevard and Locust Lane.
