New York,NY : Driver attacked firefighter after multiple crashes on October, Sunday 22th 2017

Authorities say nine people were injured after a truck driver crashed into multiple cars in New York before he attacked a firefighter and attempted to steal a firetruck.

The box truck crashed into the vehicles in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood Sunday afternoon. The New York Fire Department says the 36-year-old driver hit seven vehicles before he jumped into a firetruck and attacked a firefighter.

He was quickly arrested and taken into custody. Authorities say four people were seriously injured, while five more including the firefighter suffered minor injuries.

Police tell WCBS-TV the man has been charged with drunken driving and is under evaluation.
