GRAVES COUNTY, KY : Driver injured in work zone crash on Southbound Purchase Pkwy in Graves County on Tuesday, 16th July 2024

A crash is no longer blocking the southbound lanes of the Purchase Parkway near the 9-mile marker in Graves County.

The Kentucky Transporation Cabinet (KYTC) said the crash happened in a work zone and the crash site was cleared shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17.

The crash happened around 5:45 a.m.

According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, a preliminary investigation shows Samuel Montgomery, of Union City, Tennessee, fell asleep while driving and his vehicle hit a divider on the bridge and rolled approximately four times before stopping on the bridge.
