A Mooresville police officer was involved in a two-vehicle accident Monday.
The crash happened just after 6 p.m. in the 300 block of West Plaza Drive in Mooresville.
The police officer was transported to Carolinas Medical Center - Main with non-life threatening injuries, officials said. The female driver of the other vehicle was taken to a local facility with non-life threatening injuries as well.
From WBTV's Sky 3, a Mooresville police car could be seen just off the roadway against a sign post.
Another car, a dark sedan, was also in the roadway. That vehicle and the police cruiser both appeared to have heavy front-end damage.
Mooresville officials said Highway 150 is closed in both directions.
Officials have not said what may have led to the crash. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating.
No names have been released.
