Duluth, MN : One person in hospital after two-car crash on Highway 2 in Itasca County on Saturday morning, January 10, 2015

A two–car crash along Highway 2 in Itasca County Saturday morning sent one person to an area hospital with injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 29–year–old Danielle Tarbuck, of Cohasset, was driving a 2002 Chevy Silverado westbound on Highway Two, near milepost 179, just before 10:30 Saturday morning.
Authorities say she lost control on icy blacktop, and crossed the center line, striking head–on a 2004 Ford Ranger heading eastbound in the process.
The Ranger, driven by 65–year–old Michael Collins of Deer River, ended up in the south ditch, and came to rest on railroad tracks.
Collins was taken to Grand Itasca Hospital, in Grand Rapids, with non–life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
