Lancaster, OH :Women injured in crash on Ohio 188 on Thursday, July 9th 2015
One woman was flown to Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center after two cars collided on Ohio 188 near Delmont Road around 6 a.m. Thursday, officials reported.Parts of Ohio 188 and Delmont Road were closed for about two hours while the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigated the crash and the Ohio Department of Transportation replaced a downed stop sign.Cmdr. Lt. Shad Caplinger, with the patrol's Lancaster post, said a woman driving a gray Honda Accord was traveling east on Ohio 188 when a woman driving a black Honda Civic pulled into the intersection from Mill Park Drive, causing the crash. Caplinger said it's not clear whether the woman driving the Civic was turning onto Ohio 188 or continuing straight onto Delmont Road. After the cars collided, they separated into the ditches on either side of Ohio 188. The woman driving the Civic was not wearing a seat belt, Caplinger said, and was ejected from the front door window on the passenger side. She was subsequently flown to OSU for treatment.
