Ellsworth,ME : Fatal crash shuts down Rt. 3 in Ellsworth on September, monday 11th 2017

A fatal accident Monday morning shut down a section of Rt. 3 between Ellsworth and Bar Harbor.

Police said a car hit a tree near High Street just before 4 a.m.

The driver was killed. The victim's identity has not been released.

Police expect the road will be closed for several hours.
