Waterloo, IA : One killed and One injured in Allamakee Co. farm accident on Thursday, September 7, 2017
A man was killed and another man injured while doing maintenance on a piece of farm machinery Thursday.
The accident happened at around 2 p.m. Thursday at a residence on Mays Prairie Drive in rural Allamakee County, according to the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office.
A 55-year-old man who was caught in a forage machine was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

Another man, a 52-year-old who was also performing maintenance on the wagon, was freed by first responders and airlifted to Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis., for treatment of serious injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
The deceased man's name is Richard Weber and the injured man's name is Christopher Weber, according to KCRG. A person answering the phone at the sheriff's office would not confirm that to The Courier on Friday.
The accident remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
