Findlay, OH : Fostoria woman dies in U.S. 224 crash on Friday, July 15, 2016
A Fostoria woman was killed and two people were injured when a minivan and a truck collided at 2:44 p.m. Friday on U.S. 224, east of Findlay in front of Red Hawk Run Golf Course.
Corinne N. Odoms, 20, a passenger in the minivan, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Jacob J. Woodruff, 21, of Fostoria, the driver of the van, and the truck driver, Charles R. Baraby Jr., 45, of Lima, were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco Ambulance, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office said Woodruff was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Venture minivan east on U.S. 224. A 2015 Isuzu box truck driven by Baraby pulled out of a private drive and collided with the van, the sheriff’s office said.
Odoms was ejected from the van.
The crash remains under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged and were towed.
Washington Township Fire Department, Dick’s Towing and Ed’s Towing assisted at the crash scene.
