West Palm Beach, FL : How pedestrians and bicyclists can avoid fatal accidents on the street on Monday, March 6th 2017
Department of Transportation will join the Palm Beach Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and Palm Springs Police Department to host a pedestrian and bicycle safety campaign this afternoon at the intersection of Forest Hill Boulevard and Military Trail.
The event is scheduled for 2 to 6 p.m.
Volunteers will hand out safety literature and talk to pedestrians and bicyclists about ways to stay safe. The goal is to reduce the number of crashes and injuries at that intersection, organizers said.
Although the event is not in Lake Worth, many residents can benefit considering the number of people who bike around the city.
