Newport News, VA : Virginia Beach police officer in single-car crash, accident under investigation on Wednesday 26th October 2016

A Virginia Beach police officer was in a single-car crash Wednesday evening while conducting a traffic stop.

The officer was attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 100 block of South Rosemont Road, according to a Virginia Beach police release. The officer was treated for minor injuries that were sustained from the accident. No other injuries or damages were reported, and the crash remains under investigation by the Virginia Beach Police Department’s First Precinct.
