FAIRFIELD, AL : 1 dead after 18-Wheeler accident in Fairfield near U.S. Steel on Sunday, 8th September 2024

One person has died after a sedan collided with an 18-wheeler Sunday morning, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Lt. Henry Irby tells us the incident happened around 5 a.m. in Fairfield near U.S. Steel.

JCSO officials say the driver of the sedan hit the back of the 18-wheeler in a spot where the semi-truck is usually parked.
