Greeley, CO : A 27-year-old man died in a traffic at crash at Interstate 25 Weld County On Sunday, May 15th, 2016

A 27-year-old man died Monday after a traffic crash on the Interstate 25 frontage road Sunday night in southwestern Weld County, the Weld County Coroner’s Office reported.

The victim was identified as Joshua Stevens of Longmont.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at 7:46 p.m. Sunday on the I-25 south frontage road about one-half mile north of Weld County Road 20.5, near the town of Firestone. Stevens was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.

Stevens initially survived the crash and was taken to Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette. He was pronounced dead at 10:57 a.m. Monday.

Stevens is the 13th person to die on Weld County roads and highways so far this year, compared to 30 on the same date a year ago.
