Las Vegas, NV : Two people seriously injured after Northwest valley crash on Wednesday afternoon, March 23, 2016

Two people were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after crashing into an SUV in the northwest valley, according to Metro Police.

At about 3:10 p.m., a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling west on Centennial Center Boulevard, approaching the intersection at Grand Montecito Parkway, police said. A 1991 Cadillac DeVille was turning left from eastbound Centennial Center to northbound Grand Montecito when it struck the right side of the Chevrolet.

Both vehicles came to a rest in the intersection, police said. The 42-year-old driver of the Cadillac and the 37-year-old passenger, who received serious injuries, were taken to University Medical Center.

The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet, who were both 17-year-old girls, remained at the scene to report the crash to police. The driver received minor injuries and the passenger had no injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
