Aina Haina ,HI : One woman injured after fatal hit and run crash on Friday ,June 19th 2015

The woman in her 70s was in a marked crosswalk just feet away from the first scene.

“When the pedestrian was hit by the first vehicle, she was thrown onto the roadways where she was run over by a second vehicle truck heading eastbound,” said Lt. Carlene Lau, HPD.

Police are investigating if this could have been a chain reaction in which the driver who struck the pedestrian focused on the crash instead of the road.
