Omaha,NE : Football injury survivor involved in car crash in Iowa on September, Wednesday 20th 2017

A recent graduate of Papillion-La Vista High School student who made a remarkable recovery from a football injury was back in the hospital Wednesday.


Family tells WOWT 6 News Brandon Steburg was involved in a car crash in Iowa. Steburg suffered a traumatic brain injury while playing football. He nearly died but months later he was able to walk across the stage at his high school graduation.

In a Facebook post, his grandfather said Brandon was involved in a crash in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Steburg himself took to Twitter to talk about the accident. The tweet read, “Semi ran a stop sign and nailed me, but just like before.. in gonna bounce right back. Please say a prayer if you get a chance.
