FORT MADISON, IA : 70-year-old woman hit, killed while crossing the street in Fort Madison on Friday, 15th November 2024

A 70-year-old eastern Iowa woman was hit and killed while crossing the street on Friday evening in Fort Madison.

According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, a Toyota Tacome was heading west on Avenue O when the woman crossed the road, failing to yield to traffic, and the driver struck her. It happened just around 6 p.m. in the 5100 block of Avenue O by Fort Colony Restaurant.
