Belo, W.V : One person injured after a Motorcyle, truck crash on U.S. 119 in Mingo County on Tuesday morning, November 8, 2016

One man was flown out by a medical helicopter from injuries sustained in a collision involving a tractor trailer and a motorcycle on Corridor G late Tuesday morning in the Belo area of Mingo County.
On Tuesday, a collision occurred involving a Kawasaki motorcycle and a tractor trailer. The Lenore Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. Other first responders to the accident include several troopers from the Williamson Detachment of the West Virginia State Police (WVSP) and Stat Ambulance Service.
Trooper J.J. Dean with the WVSP explained the accident stating, “the tractor trailer was traveling south in the westbound lane. As the trailer was turning off U.S. 119 to the park and ride, the motorcycle hit the back tire.”
The man driving the motorcycle had to be flown out by the Air Evac Life Team from injuries related to the collision. According to Trooper Dean, the driver of the motorcycle was flown to St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
At this time no names have been released and no citations have been issued, according to investigating officers.
Debris was scattered for several feet along the four lane, according to EMS responders.
The incident remains under investigation by the West Virginia State Police.
