EVANSVILLE, WI : Woman identified in fatal truck vs. pedestrian collision on Tuesday, September 26th 2017
The Rock County Medical Examiner's Department has released the name of the pedestrian who died after being struck by a truck in Evansville on Tuesday morning.Cheryl A. Mani, 65, of Evansville was pronounced dead after being transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center after the collision, according to a news release from the medical examiner.
At 10:02 a.m. Tuesday, a truck traveling west on West Main Street turned left onto North Fourth Street and hit a pedestrian. The truck continued south a short distance before stopping, according to a previous news release.
A preliminary forensic examination confirmed the death was the result of injuries from the crash, according to the news release. Additional testing is underway.
The death remains under investigation by the Evansville Police Department and medical examiner's department, according to the release.
