Bennington, VT : Two people injured in head-on crash involved truck and SUV on Route 279 near the weigh station on Wednesday night, Nov 11, 2015

Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday night following a crash in Bennington.

Police say a truck and SUV collided head-on along Route 279 near the weigh station just before 8 p.m.

The road was shut down to traffic for about three hours.

The crash is still under investigation, no word on the nature of the injuries.
