LOUISVILLE, KY : 2 hospitalized after Highlands crash; part of Bardstown Road closed on Wednesday, 26th June 2019

One person is fighting for their life following a crash at a busy Highlands intersection.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Bardstown Road and Grinstead Drive.
According to officials, a vehicle that was operating southbound on Bardstown Road was attempting to make a left turn onto Grinstead Drive when it was struck by a motorcycle that was driving northbound on Bardstown Road and ran the traffic light.The motorcyclist and passenger were both taken to University Hospital. The passenger has life threatening injuries.
