Independence, OH : 27 years Ryan Boyle pedestrian hit and killed by a truck at Kenton County On Wednesday, July 13th, 2016

Kenton County police identified a male pedestrian hit and killed by a truck in Independence, Kentucky early Wednesday.

Ryan Boyle, 27, of Walton, Kentucky, was pronounced deceased at the scene in Independence, Kentucky. Boyle was walking in Madison Pike and was struck by a 2016 Dodge Ram Truck driven by 21-year-old Jesse

Holbrook of Independence.

Police responded to the incident about 3:37 a.m.

Holbrook was traveling northbound. It's unclear why Boyle was in the street, officials stated in a news release.

The investigation into the Boyle's death is ongoing. Further information wasn't provided.
