Hazmat situation closes a stretch of Cameron Canyon Road

The California Highway Patrol has been requested to assist the Kern County Fire Department on a hazardous materials situation at Cameron Canyon Rd. and the railroad tracks. It appears Cameron Canyon Rd. will be closed from Oak Creek Rd. to State Route 58 until the situation has been stabilized. Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route if possible.
