Hanover, NJ :SUV, big rig collide on I-287 S. in Hanover on Thursday, July 16th 2015

An SUV spun out of control on I-287 South near Route 10 this morning, hitting a tractor-trailer and causing it to swerve off the highway, according to police.The accident, which occurred at 9 am, has closed the two right lanes of I-287 South as the rig is towed. Transportation officials say the lanes will remain closed until about 2 pm. Motorists can expect delays of about 20 minutes.Hanover EMS responded to the scene. Details regarding injuries have not been released, but no one was transported to the hospital, said Trooper Alina Spies of the New Jersey State Police in Trenton.The tractor-trailer was carrying a liquid food product, which did not spill on the roadway.The SUV was also towed from the scene.
