WICHITA, KS : 1 dead, 5 injured in northwest Kansas crash on Friday, 4th October 2024

A Blue Rapids woman is dead, and five others were hurt after a crash near Colby Friday evening.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, around 9:45 p.m. Friday, a Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on County Road 21. At the intersection of County Road 21 and a private drive, the truck veered off the road and struck a tree row.

Emma Brungardt, 19, of Blue Rapids, was pronounced dead on the scene.
