STATEN ISLAND, NY : 2 crashes on Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge cause traffic jams early in a.m. rush on Monday, 17th December 2018

Notify NYC is warning of “extensive” Brooklyn-bound delays on the Verrazzanno-Narrows Bridge in Staten Island.

At least three crashes that occurred in both directions shortly before 6 a.m. are to blame, according to the MTA.

The most recent crash around 6:30 a.m. on the Brooklyn-bound lower level is blocking the left lane, according to the MTA.

Up to three lanes are blocked on the upper level Brooklyn-bound for a time due to a crash before 6 a.m., according to the MTA.
