Fitzwilliam, N.H : Troy man injured after a motor vehicle crash on Route 12 in Fitzwilliam on Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2015
Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire
A Troy man was taken by helicopter to a Massachusetts hospital with serious injuries following a motor vehicle crash on Route 12 in Fitzwilliam Saturday afternoon.
Keegan White, 20, was driving a Subaru wagon when his car crossed the center line and collided with a tractor trailer head-on, according to Fitzwilliam Police Officer Joseph Filipi.
The Subaru spun four times before coming to a stop, Filipi said. White was airlifted to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass., but Filipi didn't know how significant his injuries were or what caused his car to cross the center line.
White was listed in serious condition this morning, according to Tony Berry, media relations manager at the Worcester hospital.
Ronald Simoneau, 47, of Keene was driving the United Natural Foods Freightliner tractor trailer, Filipi said.
White was the only person taken to the hospital from the scene, according to dispatchers at Southwestern N.H. District Fire Mutual Aid in Keene.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Route 12 and Warren Hill Road, Filipi said.
The road was closed in the area for about an hour, he said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
