Colorado Springs, CO : Jogger who died after he was hit by SUV in Falcon on Saturday, October 18, 2014

Authorities have released the name of a jogger who was struck and killed by an SUV in Falcon. The Colorado State Patrol says 38-year-old Michael Copote was jogging with his back to traffic at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday when he abruptly turned and ran into the path of the vehicle. He died at the scene. The Gazette reports investigators do not believe alcohol or speed played a role in the crash, and no charges are expected against the 18-year-old driver.
