Winter Haven, FL : One person injured in three-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 early Friday September 18 2015

A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 early Friday injured one person and blocked traffic for a few hours.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the wreck occurred at 5:20 a.m. at Mile Marker 351, in the southbound lane, and involved six people and three vehicles, a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse, a 2013 semi and a 2016 Chevy Aveo.
A 17-year-old boy from Smyrna, Georgia, was ticketed for careless driving, authorities said.
According to Trooper Anthony Dobosiewicz’s report, the teen, who was driving the Mitsubishi, was heading south in the left lane behind another vehicle, which rapidly slowed down, forcing the teen to also slow down. The boy lost control of his car, which hit the guardrail. The car bounced into the right and center lanes and stopped.
The semi, driven by John Walter Warffeli, was in the right lane. He said he did not see the Mitsubishi until it was too late and hit the car. The semi crossed the center and left lanes and the trailer overturned on its side, blocking traffic.
Jose E. Menendez, the driver of the Chevy, also could not stop and struck the Mitsubishi.
Officials identified the other people in the crash as Jeorgeg Urrego Carreno, 65, of Marietta, Georgia; Simon Pienado Urrego, 5, of Smyra, Georgia; and Jacob Ross McDougal, 33, of Florence, Alabama.
