BUCKEYE, AZ : Eastbound I-10 reopens in Buckeye after person hit, killed by a car on Thursday, 16th November 2023

One person is dead after Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers say they were hit by a driver who then took off on Interstate 10 in the Buckeye area early Thursday.

According to DPS, the victim was walking along the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Verrado Way around 1:30 a.m. The driver then crossed into the shoulder and hit the person. The victim died at the scene.
