MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA : Woman dies in early morning car crash on Route 286 in Arcadia on Tuesday, 15th January 2019

A woman died this morning in a single-vehicle crash in northern Indiana County.

The accident happened on Route 286 in Arcadia.

According to the Indiana County Emergency Management Agency’s 911 log, the crash was first reported at 7:32 a.m.

“There was one deceased female patient who went off the road and hit a utility pole,” Commodore Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mark Riva said.

“She was going around a slight curve, failed to negotiate it and ran off the road.”

Despite icy road conditions throughout the county, Riva said he didn’t think that was a factor in the fatal crash.
