Marion, IA : Driver of car injured in crash with school bus in E. Iowa on Tuesday afternoon, June 14, 2016
A woman was injured when a school bus hit the car she was driving north of Marion.
The Linn County sheriff's office says the crash happened Tuesday afternoon when a College Community School District Bus carrying about 20 Prairie High School students drove through a four-way stop and hit a car driven by 69-year-old Anne B. Wikle, of Davenport.
Wikle was taken to a Cedar Rapids hospital, where she was treated for injuries not believed to be life threatening.
Neither the driver of the bus, 58-year-old Bryon L.W. Burkey, of Cedar Rapids, nor the students was injured.
The students were traveling to a baseball game.
Deputies issued a citation to Burkey that charged he failed to stop at a stop sign.
