Covington, KY : Driver killed and her daughter injured in a one-vehicle, rollover accident in Kenton County on Sunday night, April 3, 2016

A single-vehicle crash in southern Kenton County Sunday night left the driver dead and the vehicle's passenger injured.

Officers from the Kenton County Police Department responded to the crash in the 14000 block of Madison Pike at 11:09 p.m. Sunday. Preliminary results from the crash investigation indicate a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling north on KY 17 when it left the roadway and rolled over, striking a utility pole.

The driver, Connie Neaves, 49, of Covington, was pronounced dead at the scene, Kenton County police said in a news release. Neaves was not wearing a seat belt.

Dawnita Neaves, Connie Neaves' daughter, was the lone passenger in the vehicle and was wearing her seat belt, police said. Dawnita Neaves was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police said speed and intoxication are not suspected to have played a role in the crash.
