McCONNELSVILLE, WV : One killed in two-vehicle crash; Route 60 in Morgan County closed on Monday, 5th November 2018

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle accident early Monday morning on Route 60 in Morgan County that claimed the life of a McConnelsville man.

James M. Norman, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel with the Malta & McConnelsville Fire Department.

The patrol reported Norman’s body was trapped inside the heavily-damaged vehicle for several hours after the crash outside at a business approximately 1 1/2 miles north of McConnelsville.

The patrol reported a commercial truck hauling nitrogen was backing across Route 60 when the vehicle driven by Norman traveled under the truck, trapping him inside.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
