Four people are injured after a high-impact crash in Clarksville Sunday morning.
According to Clarksville Police, a silver Hyundai Sonata left the roadway near Governor’s Square Mall and slammed into a retaining wall shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday at what police call a significant rate of speed.
The call was dispatched at 11 a.m. District Three Patrol Officer Coz Minetos was the first to arrive at 11:02 a.m.
Minetos called it “one of the most dramatic impacts I’ve ever seen.” Minetos also said the retaining wall was pushed back by the crash.
“I’m surprised they’re all alive,” Minetos said.
All four occupants of the car, which has a North Carolina license plate, were seriously injured. One occupant had to be extricated from the heavily damaged car by Clarksville Fire and Rescue.
Numerous emergency vehicles, including several ambulances, were dispatched.
Police are still investigating the accident.
