A Fultondale man is charged for an interstate crash in the Birmingham area.

The Alabama State Troopers report John E. Parrish, 25, of Fultondale, was arrested on a charge of DUI.

Troopers say Parrish is suspected of driving a vehicle on Interstate 65 in Fultondale in a construction zone, when the car crashed into a State Trooper patrol car.

The crash happened today about 1:48 a.m.

The Trooper was directing traffic in the area, and the car's emergency lights were on.

There's no word whether anyone was injured.
