Two people were injured in a rear-end collision near Pocasset on Tuesday, according to the Oklahoma State Highway Patrol.
Two vehicles were traveling northbound on US81, one mile north of Pocasset. The vehicle in front attempted to make a left turn at CR 1240 and was struck from behind by a second vehicle, according to OHP's report.
Two persons in the vehicle that struck the vehicle in front were hospitalized.
Jerry Henderson, 71, of Fox, was transported by Tuttle EMS to OU Medical Center in fair condition with head and trunk internal injuries. Passenger, Lois Thompson, 85, of Ringling was transported by Air EVAC to OU Medical Center in critical condition with head, trunk internal and trunk external injuries, the report said.
OHP currently has the cause of the collision listed as inattentive driving.
In addition to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Grady County Sheriff's Department, the Minco Police Department, Pocasset Fire Department, Tuttle EMS and Air EVAC responded to the scene.
