Joplin,MO : Four people injured in two area accidents on September, Wednesday 20th 2017

A Goodman resident sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 76, about 2 miles west of Exeter in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tyler C. Burr, 18, was taken to Mercy Hospital Joplin.

He was driving an eastbound pickup truck that ran off the road and struck a fence and a tree, the patrol said.

• Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision at 6:48 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 60 at Farm Road 1100 east of Monett, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Two passengers in an eastbound vehicle, Beatriz Juarez, 27, and Sasha Flores, 1, both of Verona, were flown by medical helicopters to separate hospitals in Springfield. Juarez was taken Cox Medical Center South with serious injuries, and the child went to Mercy Hospital Springfield with moderate injuries. The driver of a westbound box truck, Daniel R. Gulley, 46, of Springfield, was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with minor injuries.

Gulley was westbound and attempted a left turn in front of the eastbound vehicle driven by Marvin J. Flores-Casimiro, 24, of Verona, the patrol said.
