Morehead, KY : Fleming County woman injured in a single vehicle accident near Sharkey on Saturday, April 30, 2016

A Fleming County woman was injured Saturday in a single vehicle accident near Sharkey.

According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police Post 8, the accident was reported to

Rowan County Dispatch around 3:38 p.m., Saturday, April 30. The accident occurred on Kentucky 158 in

Rowan County.

Officials said KSP Trooper Michael Armstrong, Rowan County EMS and Rowan County Fire Department

responded to the scene. After investigation it was determined Linda Davis, 49, of Hillsboro, was

traveling eastbound on Kentucky 158 operating a 2004 Ford F-150 truck. The vehicle traveled across

the westbound lane of Kentucky 158 and struck an embankment near the roadway, where the vehicle came

to final rest.

Davis sustained minor injuries and was transported by Rowan County EMS to St. Claire Regional Medical

Center in Morehead for medical treatment. Due to HIPPA laws, an update on Davis's condition was not

available Sunday.

This accident remains under investigation by Trooper Michael Armstrong, Unit 339.
