Brooklyn, NY : Driver killed after violent single-car crash on Belt Parkway in Brooklyn on Monday, November 3, 2014

The NYPD says a 27-year-old man traveling at high speed was killed after losing control of his vehicle in Brooklyn. Police say it happened at 2 a.m. on the Belt Parkway, west of exit 13. They say the driver wound up on the shoulder of the roadway after being ejected from his Infinity M-35X. Police say he was driving eastbound when he slammed into a guardrail and then crossed three lanes of traffic before hitting another guardrail and light pole. They say the driver was ejected while his vehicle went over the guardrail, landing on the ground below the elevated parkway. The accident caused extensive delays in the area.
