RANDOLPH, MA : Driver injured in serious Randolph crash on Sunday, 9th October 2016
A person was injured when a driver crashed on Route 28 Sunday afternoon, officials said.
Randolph police originally received a report of a serious three-car crash on Route 28, under the Route 93 overpass, about 2:35 p.m.
The Randolph Fire Department responded and reported the accident was only a single-car rollover, on Randolph Avenue.
The black sedan suffered extensive front and back-end damage, including a smashed back windshield, but was upright when police arrived.
The car smashed into a fence and ended up facing the wrong travel direction.
Randolph Deputy Fire Chief Daniel Kreckler said the driver was taken by ambulance to Boston Medical Center, but that he didn’t know the extent of injuries.
State police are investigating the cause of the crash.
