Man in western New York motorcycle collision with minivan dies from injuries 3

Authorities in western New York say a motorcycle driver injured in a crash with a minivan last week in Lockport has died from his injuries.The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says Sunday that 56-year-old William A. Carrigan of Amherst died Saturday at Erie County Medical Center.Officials say he was riding with a passenger on South Transit Road on Wednesday when aminivan turned in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the minivan.The motorcycle passenger was 51-year-old Karin Young of Lockport, who remains hospitalized in good condition.The 42-year-old woman driving the minivan was treated at the scene.The sheriff's office says the accident remains under investigation.© 2013 The Associated Press.
